Thank you for visiting us. In March 2009 we acquired a number of buildings off Market Street, Buxton. This was the end result of a years worth of work in probably one of the worst periods in the last 20 years for property acquisition! To us the stress has been worth it, we hope you will think so too.

We are currently in the process of renovation and refitting. We will be updating the website with our progress so visit often to see how we are doing. We will also be updating services we will be offering and we will tell you all about it here. If you wish be updated via email or have any questions then please feel free to drop us a line.

Carbon nutrality: building by example

A major aim of the renovation is to make use of as many forms of alternative technology and operational practices to minimise the carbon footprint of The Machine Rooms. In many cases examples of this kind are housed in purpose built demonstrations whose purpose is to highlight what can be achieved. Our aim is to show how these technologies and practices can be implimented in an existing building the function of which is not primarily to show these technologies. We hope to provide fact sheets and deliver awareness days making use of our implimentations in a real life working building.

In support of the local ecomony

Where possible we will be using local suppliers and services not only during the renovation but during our future operation. We feel it is very important to make use of local resources as by doing so money is kept within the local economy which benefits us all.
